The Art
Each Wild Era jewelry piece is handmade from raw materials in my home studio in Forest Lake, Minnesota. It's my goal that each piece of jewelry is slowly and thoughtfully crafted, with heart and soul, and made to last. I'm drawn to unique, natural stones and want to highlight the beauty of those individually by creating one of a kind pieces. I am influenced by my surroundings and the beautiful, natural world we live in, as well as folklore, art and culture.Wild Era was born in late 2019, and in 2020 during lockdown I was able to hone in my metalsmithing skills. The name speaks to the evolution of growth through different eras of our own life, as well as how our collective history influences and shapes us to grow into more beautiful, intelligent, wild beings.
The Artist
Hi- I'm Kelly! I was born and raised in Fargo, ND and currently live north of the Twin Cities metro area with my husband Ian and German Shepherd, Sarge. The shores of Lake Superior and the Boundary Waters Canoe Area up in northern MN are a couple of my favorite places to visit in the summertime. In my spare time I can often be found dancing to my favorite bands at concerts, checking out local vintage shops, hiking and camping, and hanging out with friends around bonfires.
